PLAISTOW, N.H. (AP) — Police say an Amesbury man was charged with drunken driving after he drove past a police cruiser in a vehicle with just three tires.

Police in Plaistow, N.H., say they were working at a traffic stop early Sunday morning when they heard a loud noise and then saw the vehicle. As the vehicle passed by slowly, an officer said he noticed that it was missing a rear tire and traveling on its rim.

Police pulled the vehicle over and said they realized that the driver was possibly under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Local media report that 22-year-old Barry Short was charged with driving while intoxicated. Police say Short didn’t know when the tire had fallen off or how long he had been riding on the rim.

Real recognize real. I’m hands down one of the best drunk drivers in the game. I go into what athlete’s describe as “the zone” when I’m lit up. I know the usual police spots, I don’t blow any lights, got Elton John blaring, I’m just on point… but my man Barry is a straight hall of famer. A tire falls off? No fucking problem. He just wants to keep the party going, he was probably heading to some orgy up in NH. You can get a 4th tire when you die.

I typed in “Barry Short” into Facebook to see if I could find a pic of this fella before writing the story and let me say this kid has legend written all over him, straight hall-of-famer. Going through his photo albums I feel like I grew up with Barry. The kid has the “it” factor. Once I saw that Doug was one of his favorite shows I just fucking lost it. I want NEED to party with this kid when I get home. We’ll take my car though because I got a spare tire.
